“I joined Gibson’s after working in the corporate world for a couple of years. I joined Deloitte’s Human Capital consulting group and then went to work in crisis communications and public relations. Gibson’s has been in my family for over 60 years, and when the opportunity to join as marketing manager presented itself, I knew it was a unique opportunity.”

“Lean into your network. If you have struggled with and haven’t learned how to ask for help, make sure you work on this first. You need to be able to share your work, ask for business, and say yes when people offer to help. Build a personal “board of directors” with people you trust and that can help you with the things you don’t know. Finding other entrepreneurs is also very helpful. Early days can be quite lonely, so building a community will help keep you going.”

Jasmin's writing journey began at a young age when she created her own magazines with pencil crayons and a stapler, setting the stage for her future as a writer. Despite facing challenges along the way, including uncertainty and self-doubt, Jasmin never wavered in her pursuit of a career in writing. She attended journalism school in Vancouver, honing her skills and gaining valuable experience that would shape her future career path.
